  1. This is such a great piece of advice Mark! It’s funny, but I was just thinking about something similar the other day. After I retired from the Air Force, I struggled a little bit with what I wanted to do next. One thing some of the transition materials I was reading said you should ask yourself, “when I was a kid, what did I want to be when I grew up?” Of course, that only covers the occupational part, not who we want to be as a whole person, but it’s a start….

    • Isn’t it so true though. Often times things happen to us on our journey in life and the main one being life, it takes on different paths that what we originally intended it to be and we soon forget about it. Upon reflection, it’s good to go back to when life was much simpler and see with eyes wide open of what we truly wanted to be.
