Before you embark
on your journey
as a writer…
ask yourself,
Is this what I’m supposed to do?
Is this what I want to do?
Or…
Is this what I was meant to do?
Knowing the context
of your reason
determines your path
of the writer you’ll be
Once you truly understand
the right words
as it pertains to you,
then…
your journey may begin
With renewed eyes,
I venture out into
this changed world that’s
filled with unlimited chaos
and relentless despair
in hopes of finding
some semblance
of humanity
In my heart of hearts,
I know that each one of us
possess the
goodness, compassion,
kindness, generosity,
bravery and love
needed to bring forth
positivity into this world
If we can each
unselfishly share
a piece of that
then the world will be able
to realign itself
and we will be able to
shift focus
onto what the true nature is
in being a human
As a writer, the best investment you’ll ever make is in your choice of words.
As a writer, your singular goal is to let your inner voice be heard.
As a writer, don’t aspire to make your words great…aspire to make them legendary.
As a writer,
your words can give hope
to those lost in this world
It can spark
a ray of light
in pitch darkness
and
lead them into
an enlightened life
of
endless inspiration
To be a great writer, you just need to do the ordinary things better than anyone else.
Creativity knows no bounds
So pour your mind, body and soul
into your words
Show courage by sharing them
and open the hearts
of the people in this world.
When the well runs dry
and words don’t flow freely,
take a step back…
pause…
reflect…
on all your past work,
relish in the creativity
you created from nothing
and take pride
in knowing you did something
that was brought forth from
your heart,
your soul,
your inner voice
What was once there
is never gone
It just needs time to
rest and recharge
When all is said and done,
you’ll be back
to reinvent yourself
with eloquent words
that will convey your passion
to the world.
Writing is a journey
It takes your mind
through the stratosphere
and completely changes
your perspective
It carries your
inner voice
from within and propels
it out into the world
for all to see
This path becomes
your way of life
and helps you to become
an artist
who creates magic
with words
and sets your stories
on a course
destined to open
the hearts and minds,
to strengthen and inspire
everyone and anyone
willing to invite you
into their lives
So take the first step,
do what you love
and go on
the journey
of a lifetime.
