Embarking On A Journey
Before you embark
on your journey
as a writer…
ask yourself,
Is this what I’m supposed to do?
Is this what I want to do?
Or…
Is this what I was meant to do?
Knowing the context
of your reason
determines your path
of the writer you’ll be
Once you truly understand
the right words
as it pertains to you,
then…
your journey may begin
Our True Human Nature
With renewed eyes,
I venture out into
this changed world that’s
filled with unlimited chaos
and relentless despair
in hopes of finding
some semblance
of humanity
In my heart of hearts,
I know that each one of us
possess the
goodness, compassion,
kindness, generosity,
bravery and love
needed to bring forth
positivity into this world
If we can each
unselfishly share
a piece of that
then the world will be able
to realign itself
and we will be able to
shift focus
onto what the true nature is
in being a human
No Boundaries
Creativity knows no bounds
So pour your mind, body and soul
into your words
Show courage by sharing them
and open the hearts
of the people in this world.
Finding Strength Within Ourselves
There is greatness
inside all of us
We have to believe
in ourselves,
work hard to find it
and
never give up hope
that we are worthy
If we do that
with our mind, body and soul,
then
greatness within us
will emerge
To Be In Love Again
To be in love again
that’s where I want to be
Having that feeling once more
is most precious to me
For that was a sensation
I thought would never end
But now that it’s gone
my heart’s all broken
To be in love again
is a dream far from me
I need to feel it once more
to end all my misery
Feeling lost and so afraid
of what might not be
My heart’s all alone
lost sight of its beauty
Will you be the one
to set my heart straight?
Will our hearts intertwine?
Will love be our fate?
This passion I longed for,
will it hopefully come from you?
Love can be ours,
our hearts can become anew
Can you please help me
find my way back to love?
Help set my life right
to my heart be a part of
Please open your heart
and save a place there for me
I need to find my way back home
to experience love carefree.
When Words Don’t Come Easy
When the well runs dry
and words don’t flow freely,
take a step back…
pause…
reflect…
on all your past work,
relish in the creativity
you created from nothing
and take pride
in knowing you did something
that was brought forth from
your heart,
your soul,
your inner voice
What was once there
is never gone
It just needs time to
rest and recharge
When all is said and done,
you’ll be back
to reinvent yourself
with eloquent words
that will convey your passion
to the world.
Singleness Of Purpose
Put all your energy
and
everything into
being the best
that you can be
Make that fire
burning inside of you
shine bright,
enough to drive
that tenacity
to its limit
If this can be done
then…
all things are possible
Mindset For Success
Stay determined,
not impatient,
nor discouraged
and
with repeated
trial and error,
you’re bound
to reach
a splendid outcome…
eventually!
Time Spent
Life is about
not wasting any
time spent with
family,
friends, and
loved ones
The greatest equity
that we can buy
in our current time
is…
