Life will present you many challenges that will test you physically, mentally, emotionally and socially; have the courage to persevere and look for the opportunities that lie in those challenges that will help you to press forward.
You can have doubters
telling you, you can’t make it
There are detractors
that may sway you from your path
There are critics
who’ll scrutinize your flaws
And there are many other
that may cause you to have self doubt
and second guess yourself
You may struggle with
overcoming your obstacles
You may be humbled by others
who are more talented
and you’ll tempted
to drop everything and quit
But as long as you persist
and never let go of your dream,
that is truly the best choice
you can make for yourself
into attaining your goal
The adversities we face in life
help to build our strength
that is needed
to forge ahead
and
conquer the harder ones that follow
When pursuing your goals or dreams,
adopt a work ethic that suits you
and only you
Because you know
what you’re striving for
But make sure that you put in
consistency, hard work, focus and discipline
Doing so will make all the difference
and change your outlook
You’ll have that perseverance
to overcome anything that comes in your path
In the end
you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing
you truly did it “your” way
It doesn’t matter how successful you can be, it’s how well you can take the fall.
Your desire has to be greater than your effort.
Writing is a journey
that’s not instant or passive
and
it is not completely result oriented
It’s a process of
delayed gratification
It’s an ongoing routine
that takes consistent training
over months and even years
Though the result is creating
art through your words,
the real reward is
the blueprint to perfecting your craft
and
the person that you become
To show up persistently
and put forth the effort,
it’s what you as a writer does
because that’s your nature
Someone willing
to expose and share
your emotions and heart
through prose
Everyone hopes to get an opportunity
once in their life
to go for their dreams
Very few succeed
They’re the lucky ones
that got a once in a lifetime opportunity
to give it their all
Then there are those
that never get that opportunity,
for that chance to shine,
to display their talents and abilities
They’re the ones
that persevere and fight everyday
to strive to make sure
they are not denied that chance
to have that one special moment
where they can showcase
all that they are
in hopes of making
their dreams a reality
Always believe that you can do anything. It’s real easy to look at the negative things with all the struggles and trials around you, but if you put your faith in God, trust in yourself, stay determined and work on things to make sense…you can continue to believe that you can overcome anything.
