is the gift to tell stories
that mean something to people
We use our words
to empathize,
to empower,
to educate
and to entertain
Writers are real people
with real stories and
their words have real emotions
at the center of it
Our words may be
our experience,
or it may not but
it allows somebody the opportunity
to be changed,
the opportunity to have
their minds expanded or
to get educated in a new way
This form of expression
is the most beautiful and powerful
aspect this craft is capable of

a place where you can be you
and do your thing
it’s a place that makes you feel safe
and comfortable
a place where you can invite your family, friends
and even strangers to come join you
a place where your work is considered magical
because you’re able to create
something fantastical from nothing
So make time to take time,
to be in that happy place
where you write
to your heart’s content

The Versatility Factor

Versatility is paramount to being a writer
If you strengthen this ability,
through your own choice of words,
you’ll be able to convey your thoughts
to like minds,
to the rigid thinkers,
to the uninformed,
to the sages and to the young
Having the skill to write anything
for anyone is truly a magical feat
So be open to dabbling in the unknown
once in awhile
and add versatility
to your writing repertoire

There are times in a writer’s life when there are moments of stagnation. But rest assured, it’ll be a brief pause. Just remember, that you as a writer cannot use up creativity. It’s something that’s in you; the more times you use it means the more you have. A writer’s creativity well is ever flowing, so tap into it. There are no limits, no boundaries, so set your mind free.
